Whether you’re launching a new site or enhancing an existing one, this demo environment provides a practical reference for content types, modules, and publishing best practices.

What You’ll Find Here

The site includes examples of the most commonly used page types and components, such as:

Page Types

  • Basic Page: Provide informational content in a structured and visually-appealing way.
  • Archive/Listing Page: List staff profiles, news articles, or other content.

    Image Usage

    • Images: Use hero banners, inline photos, profile images, or icons to enhance recognition, personalize the experience, and improve visual clarity across pages.

    Modules

    • Divi Modules: Using the Divi Builder, WordPress offers a wide range of flexible modules that allow you to build visually engaging and interactive pages. These modules can be combined and customized to create dynamic layouts that adapt across devices and meet a wide range of content needs. From accordions and blurbs, to images and tabs, the possibilities are endless.

    Content Types

    • Page: Used for static content such as About pages, Contact pages, or service descriptions. Pages are hierarchical and typically form the backbone of a site’s structure.
    • Post: Ideal for time-sensitive content like news articles, updates, or announcements. Posts can be organized by categories and tags and typically appear in chronological order.
    • Custom Post Type: Tailored content types created to meet specific needs, such as faculty/staff profiles, facilities, exhibitions, and more. These allow for custom fields and templates to better manage specialized content.

Each example reflects real-world use cases, helping you understand how to structure your content for clarity, accessibility, and engagement.
